The Flag of Minahasa consists of nine equal horizontal stripes of red and blue (top and bottom) bearing nine small, white, eight-pointed stars arranged in a triangle off three rows.
The nine stars and stripes on the flag represent the nine tribes of Minahasa; Tonsea, Tombulu, Tontemboan, Tondano (Toulour), Tonsawang, Pasan, Ratahan (Bentenan), Ponosakan, Babontehu, Bantik.
